A 100MPH drink-driver who killed his passenger in a crash on Christmas Day has been jailed for more than ten years.
Charlie Hilton, 25, was chased by police before his Mercedes hit a tree and burst into flames, killing Lillie Clack, 21.
Three other passengers were badly hurt.
Hilton was over the drink-drive limit and had overloaded the car with five passengers, the Old Bailey heard.
He reached 100mph in a 40mph zone before crashing in Carshalton, South London, early on December 25, 2021.
Hilton, of Tadworth, Surrey, pleaded guilty to causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving and other offences.
Judge Sarah Munro, KC, jailed him for ten years and six months.
Lillie’s aunt, Donna Barnham, said: “The selfish choices he made killed our little baby.”
